Why We Started Sihha

Assalam Alaikum
Every community goes through seasons. Sometimes we’re able to give more. Sometimes we need a little extra support. Families look out for one another, and strong communities do the same. Sihha was created with that mindset. To make sure help is close, consistent, and easy to access when it’s needed.
We originally began Sihha as a health education initiative focused on nutrition, prevention, and healthier lifestyles. But we quickly realized something important. Information alone isn’t enough. Knowing what a healthy diet looks like doesn’t help much if access to groceries or basic staples is inconsistent. Food security comes before food education. Before conversations about wellness can stick, families need stability.
That insight shaped our approach. Instead of starting with lectures or workshops, we chose to start with practical support. Sihha now focuses on delivering food and everyday essentials through a simple, volunteer-led system. Our goal is reliable care that protects dignity and reduces stress for families.
Our work is guided by Islamic values of service, responsibility, and compassion. The Prophet (SAW) taught that the most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others. Sihha is one small way we try to live that out, by caring for our neighbors in ways that make a difference.
Whether you’re volunteering, donating, or receiving support, we're all part of the same community. Sihha exists to make it easier for us to help one another. If you’d like to get involved or request assistance, you can use the links on our site. We’re here for each other.
